Snyder's Shipyard Names Exclusive Authorized Builder For Bluenose Classic Sloop
Snyder's Shipyard has been named the exclusive authorized builder for new construction of the Bluenose Classic
Sloop, a 23' version of the schooner Bluenose. W.J. Roué designed the sloop in 1948 as a day-sailer for Bluenose enthusiasts.
Hundreds of Bluenose Classic Sloops were built from the Roué design from 1948 until 1972, many of which remain afloat in
Maritime waters, on the Great Lakes and in the United States. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of new Bluenose Class
Sloops will go to the construction of Bluenose IV.

Marine Railway Nears Completion
The workers at Snyder's Shipyard have designed and built a marine railway for their Dayspring site. The project is
in its final stages, with completion expected in the fall of 2007. Snyder's Shipyard will then have the ability to haul vessels
that weight up to 200 tonnes on site.
